Rosie Chavez Duran

DURAN - Rosie Chavez Duran, age 77, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, has gone to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 30, 2009. She was born on June 29, 1931 in Bernalillo, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Rosie enjoyed playing Keno at the Casino. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victoriano and Maria Chavez; a son, Manuel Mora; and brothers, Joe, Phillip, and Tommy Chavez. Rosie is survived by her loving children, Linda Wheelock and husband Neal, Herb Jr., and Herman Duran; grandchildren, David Wheelock and fianc�?©e Dryra, Nichole Wheelock, Joseph and Dominic Duran, Annette Cordova, and Victor Mora; six great-grandchildren, her two "Special Hitos" Joshua and Adrian. Also surviving are her sister, Carmen Sisneros and husband Pancho; brother, Lawrence Chavez; Goddaughter, Katie Jones and husband Greg; a special friend Mary Carmondy; and other numerous relatives and friends. Rosie will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. Casket Bearers will be David Wheelock, Joseph, Duran, Dominic Duran, Greg Jones, Kenneth Perea, and Huck Wills.
