Ross S. Saiz. Sr.

Ross S. Saiz, Sr. April 6, 1925 - January 30, 2011 Ross S. Saiz, Sr., of Flora Vista, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011, in Farmington, surrounded by his family. He was born April 6, 1925, in his parents home in Blanco, New Mexico, one of 17 children of Casimiro and Teresa Saiz. Ross lived his entire life in San Juan County, graduating from Aztec schools and retiring from El Paso Natural Gas after 30 years of service. Ross’s greatest love was his family. He and his wife, Cecilia, enjoyed supporting their children and then the grandchildren in all of their athletic activities.. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman with his grandsons and nephews right up until the 2010 hunting reason. Ross was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Cecilia; parents, Casamillo and Teresa Saiz; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Ross Saiz, Jr. (Wendy), Patricia Perry (Dave), Kathy Roberts (Tom), and Harold Saiz (Karen); 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends of whom he loved and supported especially during these past 28 years of “golden retirement”.
