Rowena Louise Soules

Rowena Louise Soules of Rio Rancho, NM passed away on her 94^th birthday, March 30, 2024, of natural causes. She was surrounded by loving family, and her constant canine companion, Missy Ma’am at the moment of her passing.

She was the daughter of Bert and Lilyan [née Barr] Gilmore of Marion, Ohio, and was raised in Mansfield with her step-sister Barbara Dickerson. She also had a half-sister, Marlene Manley [née Gilmore].

She was married for 28 years to Master Chief Constructionman, Archie Todd Soules, U.S. Navy, who preceded her in death in 1994.

Rowena had six children, Connie M. Lotfi, Gary McQuillen, Judee Button, Marc Soules, Chris Soules, and Stacy Wiseman. She had eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Active in her church and volunteering in service organizations at the various military bases at which they were stationed, she touched many lives outside her family throughout her life. She will also be remembered for her sense of humor and love of The Lord.
