Age 75, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at his home in Sun City West, Arizona. He was a longtime resident of Rio Rancho. He leaves his devoted wife of 50 years, Pat; his loving daughters, Liz (John) Campbell, Cindy (Jay) Glover. Roy was a proud and loving “Papa” to his grand children, Victoria (Tim) Winrow, J.J., Allison, Jack, Ellie; great grand daughter Kylie; and adored family and friends. He was “Uncle Roy” to his adored nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Mariano and Antoinette Scimonelli, formerly longtime Rio Rancho residents. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, September 30th from 4:00pm followed by a rosary at 7:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Rd. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 1st, at 10:30am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Pallbearers include: John Campbell, Jack Campbell, Jay Glover, J.J. Glover, Tim Winrow, and Anthony Gitto. Honorary pallbearers: Christopher Gitto, Stephen Gitto, Bob Quanz, Rick Quanz, Steve LoGuercio and Mike LoGuercio.
