Ruben M. Perea

Perea, Ruben Michael March 16, 1947- June 22, 2014. Son of Bonifacio Perea and Lita G. Perea, beloved brother, uncle, godfather and friend, Ruben Perea, was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the age of 67. Ruben was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM where he enjoyed spending time with his kitties and bunnies. He had a passion for cars and trucks, he loved meeting new people and made friends everywhere he went. Ruben was very knowledgeable and could answer any question or solve any problem you had. He was a wise and inventive man with a kind and generous heart. Ruben is survived by his siblings, Wayne Perea and wife Vivian, Cherie Ibarra and husband Mario, Anita Lucero and husband Pat, Esther Martinez and husband Mario and Irene Apodaca and husband David and other numerous relatives and friends. Ruben has joined his parents and siblings Angie Perea and Dorothy Valdez in Heaven and will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary will be recited Friday, June 27, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of Sorrows Parish, 301 Camino del Pueblo Bernalillo, New Mexico 87004 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady Of Sorrows Cemetery in Bernalillo, NM. Pallbearers will be, Brian Hinson, Robert Gutierrez, Pete Gurule, David Gurule, Raymond Garcia, Felipe Apodaca, Tony Valdez and Louie Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Mario Ibarra, David Apodaca and Pat Lucero.
