Ruby Garcia

Ruby Garcia, age 87, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was born in Corrales, NM on June 6, 1933, to Briselda Gonzales and Inez Martinez. She loved being a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many.  She enjoyed dancing to New Mexico music, arts and crafts, gardening, lending a helping hand to others.  She was a member of the Barelas Community Senior Center and St. Therese Little Flower Church.  She donated money regularly to St. Therese and to St. Jude.  Her last words were "Don't be sad, be excited and rejoice that I'm not in pain or suffering.  I went home with Grandpa, my husband.  I love you all, Always.  

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Felipe Garcia; son, Felipe T. Lucero; parents, Briselda and Inez Martinez.

Ruby is survived by her son, Ernesto Lucero of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Briselda Lucero of Los Lunas, NM; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sandra Lucero of Albuquerque, NM; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Leo Martinez; daughter and son-in-law, Esther and Julian Vargas of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Antonette Lucero, Rico Alvarado, Damien Garcia, David Garcia, Mandy Lucero, Angelica Trejo, Chelsea Martinez, Shovban Duran, Gabby Lucero, Eric Lucero, Ann Marie Lucero, Shawna Lucero; great-grandchildren, Destiny Baca, Elyssia Hannigan, Briana Garcia, Leilani Lucero, Anastasia Adkins, Mykayla Garcia, Alijah Garcia, Iziah Garcia and Mario.

Rosary will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2021, 7:00 pm, Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM.  

Service will be held on May 19, 2021, 9:00 a.m., St. Therese Little Flower Church, 3424 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.  Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
