Rudolfo "Rudy" Acosta

Rudolfo “Rudy” G. Acosta passed on peacefully early morning, Thursday, May 16th 2019 at the VA hospital due to heart failure at the age of 86.  His son Leroy and daughter JoAnn were by his side as he smiled at them and took his last breath. He was preceded in death by his wife Petra, sons Tony and Raymond Acosta. He is survived by his children, Franky, Patsy, George, Leroy, and JoAnn as well as his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born in 1932 and lifelong New Mexico resident, Rudy lived a full and long life.  He was a hard worker and took pride in providing for his family.  He built the family home in Corrales in 1964 where he and Petra raised their 7 children. 

During his stay in the ICU at the VA hospital over the weekend he knew that his heart wasn’t going to last much longer and said, “Well, I lived a long life.  I’ve had lots of good times and lots of bad times.”  He said goodbye and God bless to all those who went to visit him.
