Rudy Eugene Romero

Romero, Rudy Eugene Age 22, beloved son, brother, grandson and friend, was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home, Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. Rudy was a 2009 graduate of Bernalillo High School and was currently attending the University of New Mexico. Rudy enjoyed school, where he excelled in science robotics, football and was an honor student. He loved family gatherings and getting together with his friends. He was preceded in death by great-aunt, Angela Gurule; and cousin, Gregory "Bubba" Gurule. Rudy is survived by his loving mother, Bernadette Romero and step-father Charlie Gurule, Jr. of Bernalillo; his brother and sister, Phillip Romero and Rebekkah Gurule; maternal grandparents, Rudy and Frances Romero; his aunts, Ortencia Romero, Rita McAfee,Elizabeth Romero; Uncle Roger Romero; and other numerous family members and a host of friends. Rudy will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino Del Pueblo, in Bernalillo, NM, where a Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., then followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Phillip Romero, Michael Romero, Marcos Terrazas, Michael Lopez, Eliseo Barrientos and Herman Barrientos. Honorary Bearers will be Jennifer Jaramillo, Vanessa Sanchez, Celina Romero, Brianna Romero, Krystyna Barrientos, Michelle Gurule; and many other friends.
