Age 79, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Belen, NM. He was born in Clyde, NM on October 12, 1934, to Roman and Estefanita Fajardo Vasquez. Rumaldo was a lifelong resident of Socorro County and live in San Pedro since 1982. He was a hard worker and good with his hands. He built the family home in San Pedro. Rumaldo wore many different hats over his lifetime. He was a school bus driver, delivered mail to the Roswell, NM and Clovis, NM area, he and his wife Annie owned and operated and Antique Store for approximately 7 years and he was co-pastor of the United Pentecostal Church in Socorro. He was a devoted family man and strong in his faith. He was preceded in death by his son, Marty Vasquez; his parents; his sisters, Estella Lehew and Della Romero. Rumaldo is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Annie Ramon Vasquez; beloved daughter, Debra Kreger and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Matthew Kreger, Nathan Kreger, and Jared Kreger; great-grandson, Miles Geron Tsevial; brother, Cleto Vasquez and wife, Ruby; and sister, Merlinda Crawford . Visitation will be held at the Daniels Family Funeral Services-Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with funeral services to begin at 10:00 am. John DeCosta officiating. Interment to follow at San Pedro Cemetery , San Pedro, NM. Pallbearers will be Matthew Kreger, Nathan Kreger, Darron Vasquez, Scott Burton, Noah Burton, Louie Chavez.
