Rupe Torrez

TORREZ - Rupe Torrez, age 89, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 28, 2010, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 8, 1920 in Seboyeta, NM and was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, where she was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Mrs. Torrez loved worshiping the Lord and thanking him for her many blessings especially for her family who she loved dearly. She enjoyed reading, cooking and was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Torrez, Jr. and a son, Jesus Torrez. Mrs. Torrez is survived by her loving children, daughter, Linda Casaus and husband Dory, son, Galvin Torrez and wife Marcy, and daughter, Lupe Guy; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and other numerous relatives and friends. Mrs. Torrez will be greatly missed by all. Casket Bearers will be David Casaus, Terry Torrez, Benito Torrez, Jr., Daniel Rodriguez, Richard Anzures and Cianin Sims. Honorary Bearers will be Elvis Torrez, Alfonso Torrez, Geoff Valdez, Christopher Guy, Darrick Guy and Jessie Calzada.
