Ruth M. Herrera

HERRERA - Ruth Herrera, 81, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 22, 2011. She was born on December 26, 1929 to Noe and Gregorita Torres, in Chilili, NM. Ruth loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Alfredo; sons, Joe Herrera and wife Agnes, Alex Herrera and wife Patsy, daughters, Lorraine Herrera, Judy Montoya; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Torres, Johnny Torres, Manuel Torres, Joe Torres; and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alfredo Torres and Luis Torres. Visitation will take place at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel of Angels on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; A Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.; Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at 9:00 a.m.; Interment to follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joseph Gurule, Phillip Herrera, Alex Herrera Jr., Rudolph Torres, Joseph Duran, and Glen Duran.
