A devoted church greeter and diligent Bible study attendee, Ruth’s Christian pursuits enriched both her life and the lives of others. Her favorite Bible verse, Romans 8:28—“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are called according to his purpose”—served as a guiding principle throughout her life.
Ruth’s creative spirit flourished in her hobbies; she found joy in arts and crafts, gardening, and sewing. These passions were more than activities; they were expressions of her vibrant personality and reflections of her nurturing heart. Ruth’s legacy of creativity and compassion resonates in all who were fortunate enough to share in her world.
In 1963, Ruth united in marriage with Gary Johnston, with whom she celebrated an extraordinary sixty-one years of love and partnership.
