Ruthie Louise (Ruth) Miller

February 10, 1924 — November 30, 2008

MILLER - Ruthie Louise (Ruth) Miller, 84, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 30, 2008. She was born February 10, 1924 in Cumico, New Mexico, the son of William Arthur and Lillie Lorene Johnson and the youngest of four children. She attended college at NM Highlands University and worked as substitute teacher, a telephone operator, and an electrician in the shipyards during WWII, among other jobs. She married Jack Miller April 7, 1949 in Albuquerque and became a homemaker, happily raising their five children. In their retirement years Jack and Ruth enjoyed being snowbirds, and frequently traveled along the southwestern United States in their RV home. Preceding her in death was her husband "Old Jack," Jack Miller, and their grown children Jacqueline, John and Kenny. Ruth is survived by her granddaughter Lanette and her husband Allen and their daughter Allyson, all of the family home. Ruth is also survived by her daughter Vivian of Durango, Colorado; son Bill and his wife Susan of Scottsdale, Arizona, and her sister Zallie of Albuquerque. Ruth is the proud grandparent of six other grandchildren and nine other great-grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by her longtime feline friend, Miss T. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. --Robert Frost Funeral services have been entrusted to: Daniels Family Funeral Services 2400 Southern Blvd SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124 (505) 891-9192
