S. Herbert Lewis

S.Herbert Lewis, 93, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Life Care Center of Farmington. Herbert was born to Rosalie and Louis B. Levy on July 20, 1916 in Minneapolis, MN. He Graduated from University of Michigan in 1939 with a Masters Degree in Physics. He worked for Aerospace Industry. In 1944, he married Elaine in Los Angeles, Ca and they were married 48 years until her death. Herbert moved to Farmington in 1993. He enjoyed Photography, Travel, and Chess and was a member of the Farmington Photographic Society. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine and son Richard Lewis. Herbert is survived by his daughter Sheila, and son in law Dr. John Brenner. Also by his Grandchildren Robert Lawson and Ronald Lawson, Great-Grandchildren Christopher, Shawna, and Patton Lawson. Step-grandchildren Skipper Brenner, Leslie Briante and Terry Hoffman. Step-Great Grandchildren Cheyenne Hoffman, Riley Hoffman, and Jason Briante.
