Sally Ann (Harris) Reeves was born May 9, 1947 in Clayton, NM to Ted and Juanita Harris. She grew up on a ranch in Seneca, NM. Sally graduated from Clayton High School in 1965. She went on to attend college at Fort Lewis in Durango, CO, and later attended Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX.
She married Rex “Dean” Reeves Jr. on April 6, 1969 at her parents home. They had three children together, Jubal Lee, John Denver, and Sarah Jane.
After many moves around the Southwest, they settled in Rio Rancho, NM in 1994, where Sally began a long and prosperous car sales. She broke many barriers and glass ceilings in this profession that is still mostly comprised of men.
Sally was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Sally believed it was important that her children and grandchildren knew of their rich heritage.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Juanita Harris; brothers Dalton and Doyle Harris; sister Juanelle Harris. Her husband Dean preceded her in death by just 4 days.
Sally is survived by Dean's sister Pam Clarke (Rudy) of Alamogordo, NM; their children Jubal Reeves (Max) of Houston, TX; John Reeves of Rio Rancho, NM; Sarah Galarneau (Adam) of Rio Rancho, Peter Vermolen (Gina) of Las Vegas, NV; their grandchildren Isaac, Ashton, and Aubrey Galarneau, Jubilee Reeves, and Londyn Vermolen. Privates sevices will be held at a later date.
