Sally W. Stevens

Sally Jane Stevens, of BeeHive Home in Bernalillo, died Friday, February 23, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born on Saturday, December 19, 1925 to John and Ethel Whitcombe in Ohio, then lived her first 50 years in N.Y. State.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard (1998) and son Rick (2010). She is survived by her daughter Judy and son-in-law Richard, grandchildren Daniel and Sarah (husband Corey) and great grandsons Tyce, Bode and Arlo, several nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren.

Sally had a full life that included working and retiring from the N.Y. State education system, first as a teacher then a guidance counselor. She traveled all over the world and lived in many states. Sally enjoyed playing golf, bridge and being a docent at the Albuquerque Art Museum. She was active in the Women’s Symphony Guild that brought symphonic music to many public schools.

She will be dearly missed by her family whom she devoted her life to. Her loving, generous and supportive nature was never ending.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place in Afton, N.Y. next to her husband and son. If you so wish donations can be made to your favorite charity in Sally’s name. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
