Age 76, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017. He was born in San Antonio, New Mexico on November 30, 1940 to Porfirio Flores and Griselda Chavez.  Felix as he was better known, graduated from Socorro High School in 1960. Farming all his life, Felix knew the value of hard work. He had a love for the land and he shared it with his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and also enjoyed hunting, watching WWE wrestling and his dog "Blue". He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Felix Padilla III; brothers, Joe Padilla and JJ Padilla and sister, Cecilia Tarango. Felix is survived by his devoted wife of 18 years, Brenda Padilla; children, Felix Padilla Jr., Geralyn Wise, Tomas (Luz) Padilla, Matraesa (Zach) Ortega and John Hudson; grandchildren, Tomas Padilla, Jr., Alex Padilla, Miquelia Padilla, Gabriel Padilla, Angelica Padilla, Joe Padilla, Tannin Ortega and Tinleigh Ortega; and sisters, Elma (Ernesto) Baca and Anita Armendariz .
The Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 7:00 pm at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro and Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at 9:00 am.  Celebrant Father John Anasiudu.  Burial will take place at San Antonio Cemetery following service.
Pallbearers will be Tomas Padilla, John Hudson, Tomas Padilla Jr., Zach Ortega, Alfred Fernandez, Mark Simon and Terry Staton.  Honorary pallbearers are Alex Padilla, Miquelia Padilla, Gabriel Padilla, Tannin Ortega and Tinleigh Ortega.
