Sammy C. Prado Samuel C. Prado was taken from those who loved him to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2009.
Sammy was born in Aztec, New Mexico to Isauro and Josephine Prado on June 21, 1939 and lived his entire life in San Juan County.
He graduated from Farmington High School in 1959 and worked for various trucking companies until he purchased his own eighteen-wheeler and hauled fuel, corn and sod until his retirement in 2000.
Sammy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Raymond and nephew, Damon.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of thirty nine years, Christina; his brother, Victor; sister, Karla; sisters-in-law, Barbara Prado, Fidela Prado, Rosie Marquez, Evelyn Lucero, Martha Varela and Rose Montoya; as well as his brothers-in-law, Charlie Montoya, Jerry Hall and Armando Verela, along with numerous nephews and nieces.
Sammy was a gentle man who was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He enjoyed many interests, hobbies and past times such as; riding his beloved Harley, fishing, restoring vintage automobiles, gardening and visiting his many buddies. Sammy never met a stranger�?�?� he just made new friends.
He will always be remembered by his trademark dimples, his twinkling eyes and his big generous heart. Funeral Arranements are with
