Sammy Arnell Shannon

Shannon, Sammy Arnell Age 75, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. Sammy was born on February 19, 1938 to the late Henry and Memory Shannon in Carter County in Milo, Oklahoma. He graduated from Central High School on May 23, 1956 and later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1959. Sammy worked as a carpenter until he retired in 2000. Sammy was a member of the Carpenters Local Union #1319 for over 45 years and worked on many building projects around and outside of Albuquerque. Sammy was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church and participated in the choir and helped manage Shiloh�s rental property. Sammy is survived by his wife Phyllis Shannon, 10 children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013, 11:00 am, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 608 Avenida Caesar Chavez SE, Albuquerque. Interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Albuquerque.
