Samuel Lee Garcia Jr. was born August 17, 1941 to Samuel Lee Garcia and Mary Garcia of Raton, NM. He grew up in Raton with his 4 siblings, Shirley Garcia, Isabel Gonzales, Loretta Flannigan and Joseph Garcia. He joined the Navy, and moved from Raton, NM to San Francisco, CA where he met his wife, Frances. They had 3 children together, Samuel Lee Garcia III, Kim Garcia and Charles Garcia. After 38 years together in the bay area, the two moved to Albuquerque, NM to be closer to Sam's parents, and lived there ever since. Sam and Fran also have 5 grandchildren together, Danae, Joey, Jakob, Alex and Morgan.
