Santiago Roybal

ROYBAL-Santiago Roybal, age 89, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, June 2, 2011. Santiago was born on July 25, 1921 in Hernandez, NM. Santiago was a very loving and caring person who brought joy and laughter to everyone in his life, he adored his family and loved to be in their company; he also enjoyed joking with others and had a sweet tooth. Santiago is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna of 66 years.Santiago is survived by his loving son, Eddie Roybal and wife Patricia, sisters, Laura Salazar and husband Gilbert, Anne Guerin, Grace Maes, Mary Salazar and husband Joe; brothers, Joe S. Roybal and wife Bella, Louie Roybal; one granddaughter, Amber Maxwell; one great-grandson, Adam Lovato; and many nieces; nephews; and friends. Santiago will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A Visitation will take place at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel of Angels on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.; Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 300 Mildred Ave, NW on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 9:30 a.m.; Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
