Santo Genco

Santo Genco, age 90, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was embraced by our Lord Jesus, Saturday, December 26, 2020 and taken to his heavenly home.  He is survived by son Joseph Genco, daughters Gloria Zarrella and Luana Heid and grandchildren Jacob Heid, Alyssa Heid, Kendall Zarrella, Lena Genco and Rhianna Genco.

Santo was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1930.  His family then moved back to Roccapalumba, Italy in 1932, where he graduated from High School in 1948.  He then moved back to Brooklyn where he worked with his Uncle Frank at his produce business.  He was drafted into the US Army in 1951.  He met and married his beloved wife Anna in 1962.  In 1975 the family settled in Rio Rancho, NM.

Santo was happiest at family gatherings singing his Italian Songs.  He was a devout Catholic who spent many hours with his Prayer Group at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. 

Santo will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.
