Saúl Antonio Villasmil, a beloved son, father, and friend, passed away suddenly on February 4, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. Born in Caracas, Venezuela on March 24, 1984, Saúl's life was filled with compassion, and a deep love for his family and friends.
Saúl dedicated himself to his professional career as an Assistant IT Manager for a Virtual Receptionist an impressive 20 years. His commitment to his work was evident in the way he effortlessly handled every call with patience and kindness. Education played an important role in Saúl's life. He completed the New Mexico Challenge in 2002 before pursuing further studies at ITT Tech. In 2012, he proudly earned his associate's degree.
When he wasn't working or studying, Saúl found solace and joy in spending time with his precious daughters, Angelina Villasmil and Amber Villasmil. Their laughter filled the air whenever they were together, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Saúl's devotion to his girls knew no bounds.
Saúl is preceeded in death by his father David Villasmil and his grandfather Saúl Villasmil. He is also preceeded by his beloved grandmother Bertha Santillanes, his late grandfather Louis A. "Tony" Santillanes, and his aunt Sylvia Santillanes and cousin Sabrina Santillanes. Additionally, Saúl is preceded by his devoted pet Zaneba.
In addition to his immediate family, Saúl leaves behind a vast network of loved ones who mourn his loss deeply. Surviving family members include his mother, Barbara and (Tulio) Tapia, as well as their sister Sabrina and (Daniel) Gossett and Stephanie and (Joseph) Sena of Castle Rock, Colorado. Daniel Villasmil, Vanessa Villasmil, and Pauli Tapia of Spain are among Saúl's siblings who will continue to cherish the memories they shared. Family in Venezuela; grandmother, Marinelly Arvelo De Villasmil, aunt Beltzahidt Villasmil (Luis Felipe Juardo), aunt Samary Villasmil. Saúl's impact extended even further through the lives of his nieces and nephews: Donovan Gossett, Savannah Gossett, Oaklei Sena, Landon Sena. His uncles Mike (Deb) Santillanes, Gary (Barb) Santillanes, and Larry Santillanes will forever hold him dear to their hearts.
The void left by Saúl's departure is immense. However, amidst the sorrow we feel, we find comfort in knowing that Saúl's incredible spirit will live on through cherished memories held close by all those whose lives he touched. In honoring Saúl's memory, let us remember the warmth he brought to our lives and strive to emulate the love and compassion he showed to others. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us celebrate his life and find solace in knowing that his love will live on forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects beginning at 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a service to begin at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Road Chapel in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tulio Tapia, Gary Santillanes, Daniel Gossett, Joseph Sena, Howie Connick, and Anthony Santillanes. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Santillanes, Larry Santillanes, John Santillanes, Donovan Gossett, Savannah Gossett, Oaklei Sena, Landon Sena.
