Sherry Lee Pedersen

PEDERSEN_ Sherry Lee Pedersen, age 57, a resident of Albuquerque since 1999, died January 10, 2012 . Sherry was born August 1, 1954 in Vineland , NJ , the daughter of Walter Richard and Shirley Ann (Knudsen) Pedersen. Sherry is survived by her mother and stepfather, Shirley and Jim Fonash of Vineland , NJ ; sisters, Maureen Ann Miller and husband Charles and Cynthia Marie Fay; nieces and nephews (in whom she took great delight), Laura (Miller) Hoffman and husband Chris, Kevin Miller, Ryan Fay, Ian Fay and Rachel Fay; and three uncles and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, W. Richard and her brother Kerry Kris Pedersen. In her late teens, Sherry suffered an illness that left her medically fragile; her spirit and determination, however, were undaunted. She loved meeting new people and looked forward to new experiences. Sherry pursued her lifelong love of music (piano, handbells, voice), singing in several area choruses, including the choir of St. John��?�s United Methodist Church , where she was an active member. In recent years she began playing the organ, studying under Maribeth Gunning. Sherry spent much of her career in human resources; most recently, she operated her own consulting company - HRProVantage. A Celebration of Sherry��?�s life will take place 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at St. John��?�s United Methodist Church .
