Shirley A. Campbell

Shirley Ann Campbell, age 83, a prayer warrior, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, left her earthly family to be with Jesus, her Savior, peacefully in the loving arms of her husband on January 7th, 2019.

Born to Ed and Agnes Pendleton of Roy, New Mexico on March 25th, 1935.

Shirley grew up in Albuquerque, NM and married John Fred Campbell on October 31st, 1953. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Shirley and Fred resided in Albuquerque and Corrales where they raised their 3 children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Randy Campbell.

Shirley is survived by her husband John Fred Campbell, daughters Jennifer Garrett (husband Larry) and Vicki Campbell-Vasquez (husband Charlie). Granddaughter Andrea Crum (husband Matt), Grandsons Dustin Murray (wife Jennie), Benjamin Garrett (Tasmyn), Barry Garrett (wife Kate) and granddaughters Michelle Cates (husband Landon) and Elexi Vasquez and 12 great-grandchildren that she called her “precious creatures”.

Shirley attended Highland High school, Class of 1953. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Shirley loved playing the piano and was involved in her church as a choir accompanist, enjoyed her arts & crafts, playing bridge and traveled extensively upon retirement. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and took great interest in her family lineage. 

A memorial service will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Home, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, NM on Saturday, January 12th, 2019.

Visitation with the family will be at 12:30pm, Chapel services at 1:30.

Graveside service to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Benjamin Garrett, Barry Garrett, Landon Cates, Charlie Vasquez, Larry Garrett, Gary Feger. Honorary Pallbearers are Skip Erickson, Mel Perkins, Alan Campbell, Matt Crum.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Mexico Right to Life.
