Silas J. Minton

Minton Jr., Silas J. Age 71, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. He was born on August 30, 1942 to Silas and Irene (Quinn) Minton of Phoenix, AZ. He proudly served our country in the US Marine Corps. He was licensed to operate a vessel up to 100 tons in the open ocean. He will be remembered for his love of traveling, fishing, military history, and race car driving. Mr. Minton is survived by his wife of 13 years, Stacey (Conviser) Minton, of Rio Rancho, NM; children, Anna Marie Minton-Jennings of Livermore, CA, grandson, Shane Jennings, and Silas J. Minton, III; half-brothers, Patrick Minton and Michael Minton; half-sister Monique Roberts; father-in-law Clarence Loomis and mother-in-law Mikki Roth-Loomis and beloved friend Angelique Calderon. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment with military honors will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
