Silviano Talamante

Silviano Talamante, 86, a resident of Blanco since 1974 passed away early Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. Silviano was born January 31, 1923 in Edith , Colorado the son of Alfredo Talamante and Maria Angelita (Salazar) Talamante. He was an active and faithful member of St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church of Blanco. Silviano loved to garden and enjoyed sharing his harvest with neighbors and friends. He liked to travel and drive fast. Silviano will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Silviano is survived by his 6 children: Rosalie Maestas of Espanola, NM, Salomon Talamante and wife Corine of Hernandez, NM, Sylvia Carbone and husband Tony of Farmington, Johnny Talamante of Las Vegas, NV, Mike Talamante and wife Eleanor of Farmington and Machell Valencia and husband Donny also of Farmington; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and 3 on the way; brother Andres Talamante and wife Della of Edith, Colorado, sisters Adelia Martinez of Clearfield, UT, Beatrice Talamante and husband Alfredo of Lumberton, NM and Angie Martinez and husband Alberto of Edith, Colorado and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Maria, Rae Dean, Teresita, Encarcion, and 11 siblings. Pallbearers are Sylvie Talamante, Aaron Talamante, Julian Valencia, Donald Valencia, Jr., Justin Valencia and Alex Talamante. Honorary pallbearers are Silviano's brothers and sisters and close friends. The family wishes to thank Northwest New Mexico Hospice for there help and care of our Dad.
