Sophie M. Esquibel

Esquibel, Sophie M. Loving, mother, sister, grandmother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the age of 76. Sophie loved her family and those who were close to her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel A. Esquibel; children, James, Ivan and an infant daughter and special friend, Mrs. Montoya. Sophie is survived by her loving children, Isabel Alcon and husband John, Connie Chavez and husband Gilbert, twins, Doreen L. Esquibel-Castillo and husband Ted, Doretta L. Esquibel-Salazar and husband Ronald; grandchildren, Valerie, Samuel, Sabriana and James; one great-grandchild, Evangelynn; niece, Estella Lemcke and husband Dave; her spiritual children, Barbara Chavez-Middleton and Brian Trino; special friends, Ernie Perea, Mary Funderburg, Connie Montoya and numerous other extended family and friends. A Rosary will be recited at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel of Angels on Monday July 30, 2012 at 7:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW on Tuesday July 31, 2012 at 9:00 am. Sophie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Garcia Mortuary
