Sophie Z Rosas

Rosas, Sophie Z 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born in Socorro, NM on April 3, 1946 to Juan and Florinda (Lopez) Zamora. Sophie was a lifelong resident of Socorro. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and just simply visiting with family and friends. More than anything, Sophie loved her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy, her everything. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sophie is survived by her children, Antonette Marie Rosas Romero and husband, Sean; Henry Rosas Jr.; and Liz Rosas; her brothers, Steve; Paul; Candy; and David; her sisters, Rosella; Jenny; Cruzita; and Dorothy; her sister and brother in laws; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and close friends. Sophie will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Rick R. Nunez; Jonathan James Rosas; Jared Paul Rosas; Jaedyn Jude Gutierrez; and Timothy Orlando Rosas Gonzales Jr.; her great grandchild, Gage Nunez; and her dear friend and neighbor, that was so caring during Sophie's illness, Fiddie Godinez, your kindness will always be remembered. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 8:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro, followed by the Mass of Resurrection which will be celebrated at 9:00 am with Father Andrew Pavlak as celebrant. Inurnment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Sophie's loving grandchildren, Rick, Jonathan, Jared, Jaedyn, and Timothy.
