Kline, Sosteno "Steve" G.
Age 90, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. He was born in Frisco, NM, on February 25, 1927, to Frank and Isabel Kline.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Sosteno Kline Jr.; son Gerald P Kline; sister, Rosie Pacheco.
Sosteno is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Fela Kline of Albuquerque, NM; son, Michael P. Kline of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Celia Krull of Yuma, AZ; sister, Stella Reyes of Anaheim, CA.
Sosteno proudly served during World War II in the U.S. Army from April 21, 1945 to December 9, 1946 and honorably discharged as a Tec5; was decorated with The Asian-Pacific Campaign Medal; Army Occupation Medal; World War II Victory Medal.
He received his G.E.D from TVI; employed by Ideal Cement Company for 35 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. He was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque. Interment follows at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.
Pallbearers will be: Gil Jacquez, Joseph Montano, Barney Krull, Michael P Kline, Tony Kline, and Victor Padilla. Honorary Pallbearers will be: David Padilla, Stephen Kline, Kenneth Kline, Joseph Padilla, Chris Kline, Marissa Kline.
