Steve Jakymiw

Steve passed away comfortably on Thursday, October 15th.

He is preceded in death by his wife Alice, Son Steven, Daughter in-law Denise and 4 brothers, John, Michael, Walter, and Peter.

Survived by Son Michael, Grand Children; Stephanie and her Husband Mark Bookhamer, Danielle and her Husband Riley McMullan, Jason Jakymiw, and Mitchell Jakymiw. Great Grand Children; Connor, Joseph, Kathleen, Peyton, and Jackson.

Born in a small village in Ukraine, he traveled with his family to America which he referred to as the ‘Land of Plenty’.

Arriving in New York in the mid 40’s, graduated High School then Trade School earning a living as a Machinist. Married in 1956, started a Family, then moved to Rio Rancho in 1973. He worked for the Post Office until retiring in 1995.

My Father had a strong belief in God, a founding member of OLOPH Byzantine Catholic Church in Albuquerque.

A devoted Husband and family man that never put himself first.

The love for him runs Deep and Memories are Treasured.

He will be sincerely missed.

Prayer services will be on Thursday, October 22nd at 7:00 PM

Funeral service will be on Friday, October 23rd at 11:00 AM

Internment will follow at Daniels Family Cemetery at 4310 Sara RD. Rio Rancho
