Age 72 ,Steven passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was born in, Waterloo, Iowa on 12/15/1945. He spent 27 years in the US Air Force, highly decorated for many achievements, but most proud of being a husband, father and grandfather. Military acheivements and accolades include Defense Meritous Service Medal, AF Commendation Medal, AF Acheivement Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award, AF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and AF Training Ribbon. His hobbies included camping, fishing, bowling and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his: Father; Steven Ceglar and Mother; Adelaide "Louise" Ceglar and his sister; Joanne Scharfenberg.
Steven is survived by wife, Liane Ceglar. Daughters: Alexandra Ceglar - Gusdorf, (married to Frank Gusdorf), Angela Ceglar, and son Roger Ceglar. Grandchildren; Gerson Gusdorf and Cassaundra Confer. Last but not least, he leaves behind his dogs; Milo and Bella.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 25th at 8:30am. Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15am promptly, reception at Daniels Family Funeral Services at 12:45pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Steven's honor to OPERATION HOMEFRONT.
