Harms, Steven Lloyd age 61, passed away on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his home in Pie Town, NM. He was born in Livingston, MT on March 5, 1952 to Charles J. and Bernice G. (Hall) Harms. Steven grew up in Montana and worked on the family ranch. He proudly served in the United States Army for four years before and serving on the Montana State Highway Patrol and sheriff's office for sixteen years. He moved to California and went to work for the California Department of Corrections until he retired after eighteen dedicated years in 2008. Steven was a devoted family man and very patriotic. He was a very talented gunsmith. Steven was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. More than anything, he adored his family and his beloved dogs, "Bo-Bo" and "Bonnie". Steven is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Cindy (Streitmatter) Harms; his children, Sheldon and Russell Dietz; his sister, Diann Stephens and her husband, David; his brothers, Bo Harms and his wife, Sharon; and Tom Harms and his wife, Sandy; his cousin, Larry Songer; Cindy's siblings, Darlene Storti and her husband, Peter; Gary Streitmatter and his wife, Becky; Cheryl Emmer and her husband, Eric; and Kathy Spring and her husband, Greg; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and close friends. As were Steven's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services scheduled at this time.
