Susan died too young after a long battle with Cancer, she was 51 years old. She was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida to Theodore and Sheila Thygeson. She moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1985. She enjoyed her family and her dogs. She loved having big family get-togethers where she could cook and bake for everyone. She was well known for her thoughtfulness and ability to find the perfect gift for everyone. She loved all holidays and would transform her home for each one and she never forgot a birthday. She also loved sewing, shopping and decorating. Most of all she loved her daughter Jessica.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica Nicole Manzanares, her mother Sheila Thygeson, sister Christy Gonzales and husband Frank Gonzales of Corrales, NM , nephews Blake and Austin Shaw of Albuquerque, NM, and Carlos Santiago of Phoenix, Arizona, niece Monica Santiago of Denver, Colorado, sister-in-law Patricia Santiago and her husband Carlos Santiago of Rio Rancho, NM, brother-in laws Henry and Michael Manzanares of Albuquerque, NM. Aunts Jane McCulley and husband Mike from Cocoa Beach, Fl. and Madeline “Mirf” Boisseaneault of Melbourne, Fl. Cousins Scott Boisseaneault, Bobby Whipple, Cindy Whipple, Robyn Cohan and Sarah Winters.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Manzanares, step-son Eric Manzanares, father Theodore Thygeson and In Laws Joe and Josie Manzanares.
Small family gathering for memorial and internment will be held at the Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe on March 18, 2022 at 11am.
