Susie Salazar

Salazar, Susie Age 78, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for 14 years and formerly of Aztec, NM passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013. She was born in Coyote, NM on January 2, 1935, to Jose Ignacio Chacon and Rosaura Valdez. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Salazar; son, Gary Salazar; parents, Joe and Rose Chacon; brother, Tony Chacon; sister, Barbara Chacon. Susie is survived by her children, Yvonne M. Foster and husband John of Rio Rancho, NM, David Salazar and wife Bernadette of Albuquerque, NM, Brian Salazar of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Matthew Foster, Melanie Foster; siblings, Toni Martinez, Max Chacon, Jake Chacon, Larry Chacon, Corrine Shorts, Ron Chacon. Susie enjoyed crocheting, painting, ceramics and gardening. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am followed with the Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, March 25, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment to follow at 1:30 pm, Monday, March 25, 2013 at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
