Tanya (Ton) Harenberg

Age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, April 24, 2015. Ton was born on February 9, 1938 in Urbana, OH to Henry Harenberg and Julia (Hook) Harenberg-Skaza. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Brent Harenberg. Ton is survived by her brother, Hank; sister-in-law, Rebecca Harenberg; nephews, Scott Harenberg and wife Jill, Mark Harenberg and wife Lesha, all of Albuquerque, NM; Josh Harenberg of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by the loves of her life, great-nieces and nephews, Bethany Burke and husband Andrew, Drew Stone, Sidney Harenberg, Meagan Harenberg, and Ryan Harenberg. Ton moved to Albuquerque in the early 70’s and later retired as a supervisor for Digital. She then moved to Las Vegas, NV for ten years where she was able to spend time with her much loved extended Vegas family. She then moved back to Albuquerque in 2008. Ton was known as “Aunt Ton” to everyone, and had “nieces and nephews” everywhere she went. Her witty phrases, bright smile, and big heart will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be payable to Asbury Methodist Church or Bereavement Committee.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Asbury Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria NE, Albuquerque, NM.
