Ted Valenzuela

Ted Valenzuela, lifelong resident of Socorro, New Mexico passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Ted was a long-term and dedicated employee of the Socorro County Road Department. He enjoyed fishing, taking care of his pets, being outdoors, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was Catholic and lived his faith daily.

Ted Valenzuela is preceded in death by his parents Labriano Valenzuela and Martina Sanchez, by his son, Michael Valenzuela; sisters Flora Lopez; Mary Avalos, brothers Reyes Valenzuela, Leroy Valenzuela, Julian Valenzuela, and Tony Valenzuela.

Ted Valenzuela is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carmen Valenzuela; brothers Enriques Valenzuela, Lorenzo Valenzuela, sister Diana Montoya children Josephine Chester (T J), Jeanette Lukesh (Carl), Danny Valenzuela, Margaret Valenzuela (Anthony), Helen Garcia (Eddie, deceased); grandchildren Carl Lukesh Jr., Anthony Lukesh, Nicholas Chester, Kara Atkinson, Carlos Valenzuela, Elaine Gonzales, Joe Valenzuela, Rita Valenzuela, Theresa Naranjo, Daniella Garza and great-grandchildren Joslyn Lukesh, Macy Lukesh, Ember Atkinson, Mathew Lopez, Jordan Gonzales, Ariana Gonzales, Juvencio Quijada Jr., Xavier Quijada, Jayden Quijada, Aulexiz Valenzuela, Carlos Baca, Jenna Baca, Chloe Bacathem, Finley Adams and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services are scheduled for April 4, 2025 at San Miguel Catholic Church. 9:30 am-Rosary, 10:00-11:00 Mass, followed by internment at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Reception to follow at the San Miguel Catholic Church Parish Hall.
