Terry Lawrence Cleaver, 55, of Farmington, died on Monday, June 27, 2011, in Farmington. He was born June 23, 1954, in Farmington, to Alvin Ennis Fite and Mary Francis Fite.
Terry graduated from Rio Grande High School in Albuquerque, where he played basketball. In 1974, Terry moved to Eunice, where he worked at Warren Petroleum. He worked for the city of Eunice until 2005, when he moved back to Farmington. Terry worked for OmI in Farmington until he went on to Glory.
Terry was a faithful servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed by all. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Tressie Washington; and his mother, Mary Fite. He is survived by his sons, Desswoir Cleaver and Calvin Cleaver; daughter, Trisha Story; brother, Clarence Fite; sisters, Renee Chambers, Patricia Bryant and Janice Fite; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, July 1, at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington. Pastor Donald Ray Shanklin will officiate. Pallbearers are Jamahl Rice, Terry Bryant, Steven Fields, LeRoy James, Phil Martinez and Steve Salazar.
