Terry L. Noble

Terry L. Noble, 75, of Pie Town, New Mexico and San Felipe, Mexico died Tuesday, June 12, in New Mexico from complications related to a surgery four days earlier. Noble was retired from a career in finance with IBM and Lockheed-Martin, a career which spanned over 40 years and caused he and his wife Karla to live and make friends in many different locations, from Colorado to California to Cirencester, England.

   He was born in Union County, Illinois, and lived in several states growing up, graduating from high school in Fair Play, Missouri. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1961 and received an Honorable Discharge four years later. Noble entered the workforce at IBM in Boulder, Colorado and attended college while working, graduating with a degree in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

   Noble’s career took the couple to several cities including Longmont, Colorado, Camarillo, California, Owego, New York, Manassas, Virginia, England and Santa Maria, California. 

   Noble retired from IBM after 35 years and immediately went to work doing the same job for Lockheed-Martin. When he retired, the couple was living in Santa Maria. They purchased a motor home and for the next ten years divided their time between San Felipe, Baja California and Pie Town, New Mexico.

   He enjoyed Genealogy research, 4-wheeling with friends in San Felipe, desert camping, mountain climbing, whale watching and spending time with friends and family.

   Noble is survived by his wife, Karla of Pie Town, brothers Larry Noble of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Phil Noble of Cheyenne, Wyoming and his wife Lynn Birleffi, Walter Noble of Nashville, Tennessee and his wife Wanda, Danny Noble of Shelbyville, Tennessee and brother in law, Allen Gray and wife Nancy of Isssaquah, WA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and other extended family.

  He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Reverend Loyde and Frances Noble, a sister, Doris L. Noble, and a brother, Stephen Owen Noble.

  Terry and Karla had many friends from all the many places they lived, and those friends are asked to remember Terry in their own special way. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
