Age 78, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Socorro, NM on May 20, 1939, to Manuel and Eugene (Baca) Griego. Terry was a lifelong resident of Socorro. She attended Mt. Carmel and Socorro High School. She worked at Eagle Pitcher, at the Vagabond Motel and at a local retail department store. She loved to sew and to read. She also enjoyed her occasional trip to the Casino. Terry was a woman of strong faith and loved spending time with her family. Terry will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Willie Griego, Manuel Griego, Jr., and Jimmy Griego. Terry is survived by her husband of 59 years, Cornelio Peralta; daughters, Peggy Lopez and husband, Ron, Patty Silva, Tina Griego, Virgelyn McNeil, Melissa Zimmerman and husband, Ty, and Theresa Potter; son, Michael Peralta; sister, Marian Ornelas; brother, Tony Griego; 25 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Rosary to be recited on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 9:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro with Mass of Resurrection to be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Celebrant Father Chike Uba. Burial will be in the San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Silva, Shane Silva, Michael Herrera, Jonathan Chavez. Honorary pallbearers are James McNeil, Dillon Zimmerman, Christian Lopez, Jacob Jojola, Fernando Torres.
