Terry Togstad

TOGSTAD - Terry Togstad, 66, a resident of Rio Rancho since 2006 and formerly of California, passed away on September 5, 2009 after his battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia Togstad of Rio Rancho; daughters, Brenda Togstad of Mesa, AZ and Wendy Togstad of Santa Rosa, CA; brothers, Robert Togstad of Hamilton City, CA and Randy Togstad of Chico, CA; sister, Cindy Armstrong of Santa Rosa, CA; and three grandsons, Gregory Togstad of Albuquerque, Kurtis Crawford of Rio Rancho and Cody Gaffney of Napa, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Deloris Togstad. Terry was born June 8, 1943 in Beaver Dam, WI and his family moved to California when he was eight. Mr. Togstad proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Napa Sanitation District in 1993 and then went to work with Brinks Armored Cars until he retired with them in 2002. In his spare time Terry enjoyed fishing, boating, reading, old cars and football. Cremation has taken place and the family will plan a memorial service in California at a later date.
