Thelma Hargrove

Thelma Hargrove went to be with our Lord on March 15, 2013 at the age of 98. She was born on October 14, 1914 in Palestine, Arkansas to William Irby Rodgers and Ida Jane Howton Rodgers. Thelma was an avid gardener. She could put a stick in the ground and soon would have the most beautiful rose bush. She also grew the best vegetables. She was also a great fisherman, always catching the first and largest fish. Thelma was a member of San Marcial Chapter #34, Order of The Eastern Star. She was a fifty-two year member of The Order. She will be greatly missed by her large family and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Luther of 63 years; two brothers and her twin sister, Zelma Kyzer. She is survived by three daughters, Billie Jean Ferren and husband Buddy, Arleen Smith and Joy Burwinkle and husband Bob; brother, Wayne Rodgers, and sister Faye. Thelma was a grandmother of seven, Bob, Deannie, Tena, Linda, Ed, Edna and Joe; ten great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild. Graveside Services will be April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE by San Marcial Chapter #34, Order of The Easter Star.
