Theodore Ted"" Alcala

ALCALA- Theodore (Ted) Alcala, 57, a resident of Corrales, New Mexico, passed away on July 8, 2011. Ted was born on December 19, 1953 to Frank and Dolores Easterday Alcala of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He served in the US Air Force from 1974 until 1982. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, humor, and his beautiful soul. He can now rest in peace. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Daniel Alcala; and his brother-in-law, Aaron Levin. Mr. Alcala is survived by his children, Cherie Meguess of Pensacola, Florida, Anthony Alcala of Valdosta, Georgia, and Meghan Alcala of Ft. Richardson, Alaska; grandchildren, Brent Meguess, Gabriel Bingham, Kenneth Alcala, Jordyn Alcala, Cole Alcala, and Savannah Alcala; siblings, Greg Alcala, Rick Alcala and his wife, Dottie, Julie Gonyea and her husband, Edde, Mark Alcala and his wife, Barb, Grace Levin, Walter Gutierrez, and Lucila Trowbridge and her husband, Alan; and nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Harley, Elijah, Heather, Christine, Staci, Melissa, Ryan, Ashley, Tamara, Mathew, Brandon, Michael and Christopher. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Reception to follow services from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
