Theresa Montoya-Gallegos

Theresa passed away after a brief illness on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born on May 11, 1929.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mel and Mary Marino; husbands, Jimmy Montoya and Joe Luna, brother, Melito Marino, as well as her daughter, Beverly Balling in November 2017.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Gallegos; children, Johnnie Montoya, Sylvia Montoya and Shirley Russell. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; sister, Georgia Baca; sister-in-law, Nina Marino; and many nieces and nephews. Theresa was a life long resident of Albuquerque and worked at Zales Jewelers, downtown, for many years. She was a talented artist and porcelain dollmaker and enjoyed giving her paintings and dolls to friends and family. Theresa will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, 5:00 p.m., at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with reception to follow in the Sunroom.
