Theresa "There" M. Tapia

Theresa “There” M. Tapia passed away on June 17, 2021 at her home in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 61.

Theresa is survived by daughter, Shannon Llanas of Albuquerque, NM; son, Eugene Tapia of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Sophia Lopez of Albuquerque, NM, Frances Lopez of Albuquerque, NM; Dorothy Montoya of Gallup, NM, and Elda Rubi of Albuquerque, NM; unlcle, Gibbo of Grants, NM; grandchildren, Carlos Jr. Llanas, Elena Llanas, Shantel Llanas, Francesca, and M.J. Tapia; great grandchildren, Jordan Llanas, Dominic Llanas, and Jionni Llanas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Encarnacion Marquez and Dorela Ramirez Marquez; brothers, Clifford Marquez, Leroy Marquez, Alex Marquez, and Encarnacion Jr. Marquez; sister, Bernadette Marquez.

Theresa was born on November 30, 1959 in Grants, New Mexico to Encarnacion Marquez and Dorela Ramirez Marquez. She attended Grants High School. She married the love of her life, Richard Eugene Tapia in Grants, New Mexico. They were married for 35 beautiful years. Over the years, the couple welcomed two children into their home. Her children remember her as a kind and patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Theresa was a generous individual who loved spending time with family and friends. She was an active and dedicated member of Omega Ministry Church.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at Living Water Miracle Center Church – 6446 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Interment will take place on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Grants cemetery. A reception will follow after at Knights of Columbus – 1601 Roosevelt Ave, Grants, NM 87020.
