Frawley, Thomas  Francis
80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 29, 1933 to Thomas Franciscus and Luella Mary (Delong) Frawley. Tom was a Socorro resident for about 20 years. He retired from IBM as a Technical Writer after 25 years of service. He proudly served with the United States Navy from 1952 - 1971. Tom had many hobbies, such as pursuing his interests in his Ham Radio, he was an avid gun collector; and he enjoyed photography. Tom was a devout member of the San Miguel Catholic Church and his faith in the Lord was firm and resilient. He was a strong Roman Catholic and passionate about the word. Tom was very interested in the history of San Miguel. In 2008, Tom was the recipient of the St. Francis of Assisi Award  presented by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe which is given in gratitude for an individual's tireless efforts on behalf of Franciscan Works and their witness to God's love and Gospel values. Tom will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his grandson, Zechariah. Tom is survived by his devoted son, Matthew Frawley; his step sons, Peter Rieth and wife, Kirsten; and Timothy Rieth and wife, Wende; his grandchildren, Heather, Andrew, Jessica, Grace, Ryleigh, Jordan, Darian, Kinsey, Grayson, Isaiah, and Levin; his great grandchild, Jakob; dear friend, Judith (Rieth) Anderson; many close friends; and his loving family of San Miguel Catholic Church. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 8:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro, followed by the Mass of Resurrection which will be celebrated at 9:00 am with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Inurnment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions or  donations may be given in Tom 's honor to The San Miguel Catholic Church Building Fund, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro, NM 87801.
