Age 98, left us on January 31, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 30, 1916 to Oliver and Margaret Mahoney. He is survived by two children, Sarah Ann and Michael; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; his niece Susan; nephews Bob and Stephen. He was preceded in death by his wife Muriel; two sisters and two brothers. He served in the U.S. Army-Air Force for three and half years in World War II in the China, Burma, India unit. He made his home here in New Mexico in 1986 and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was an usher at St. Thomas Aquinas for many years. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to his favorite charities: St. Jude Hospital for Children and the Albuquerque Humane Society.
