Mazón, Thomas " Tom" Edward

Age 52, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018. He was born in Gallup, NM on February 5, 1966, to Manuel and Dorothy Mazón. Tom lived in many different places as he was growing up and has lived in Socorro for the past 20 years. Tom loved to travel and traveled all over the world. On one of his trips to Peru, he met his beloved wife, Susana, and they have been married for the past 11 years. He was strong in his faith and was an active member of the San Miguel Church. Tom was a person that everyone relied on. He could fix anything that was broken. He had an infectious laugh and he never met a stranger. He had many jobs over his lifetime. He worked for Schwans and the last few years he worked as an instumentation Tech at ERMTC and also auto mechanic work. Tom enjoyed the time he spent with his nieces and nephews, outdoors, and also what he used to call, "boonie cruising". Tom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Tom is survived by wife of 11 years, Susana Verona-Mazón; father, Manuel Reyes Mazón, mother, Dorothy Mazón, brother, Richard Paul (Kathi) Mazón, sister, Jo, sister, Mary (David) Lucero; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Robert, Jose, Jessy, James, Sabrina, Alessandra, Lucia, Juan Carlos, and Juanma; great nieces and nephews, Natalia, Miranda, Mariale, Dominic, Nathan, Hunter, JJ, CJ, Bianka, and McKinley. Rosary to be prayed on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at 7:00 pm at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 9:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church. Celebrant Rev. John Anasiudu. Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Joshua Mazón, Jose Marquez, James Lucero, David Avalos and Sabrina Lucero. Honorary pallbearers are Juan Abel Verona, Ernesto Linares, and Sergeant 1st Class Robert Mazón(being represented by his daughter, Bianka Mazón).
