Sopher, Todd Alan
Age 41, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home in Edgewood, NM. He was born in Sedro Woolley,WA on September 22, 1974, to Lawrence and Maureen (Voth) Sopher. Todd attended school in Burlington, WA and Albuquerque, NM.
He married Heather Patricia Guynes on July 21, 2001. He worked as a CDL truck driver for Albuquerque Studios, and a member of the Local Teamsters Union #492. Todd enjoyed hunting, shooting, and fishing. Todd was also known as "Toddzo" and "TDog", and his favorite quote was "I'm Kinda Busy Right Now".
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Sopher Jr.; grandfather, Lawrence Sopher Sr.; uncle, Lonnie Sopher; grandmother Marge Voth; grandfather Rocky Voth.
Todd is survived by his wife of 14 years, Heather Sopher; daughter, Chloe Sopher; son, Jacob Sopher; brother, Brad Sopher and his wife Stacy, and sons Dillon and Zachary; mother, Maureen Cordova and partner Richard Merenda; mother-in-law, Carole Guynes and husband Steve Bare; father-in-law, Gary Guynes and partner Cheryl Beeswy; sister-in-law, Cheryl Good, husband Joey and sons Richie, Christopher, and Joshua; all residing in Albuquerque, NM; grandmother Jeannie Sopher of Deming, WA; and aunt and uncle Diane and Jim Robertson of Rockport, WA; aunt and uncle, Shirley and Hal Wiliams of WA; uncle and aunt, Bill and Kitty Voth of WA; half-brother, John Sopher of WA; WA cousins, Brent, Brock, and Nikki Williams; Sonya Buckner, Daphne Voth, and Jason Voth, and many friends, family and loved ones in Washington and New Mexico. He leaves behind his pet dogs, Lacie, Whiskey, and Buddy; cats, Buster, Roman, and Mia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE with a reception to follow at the Strong-Thorne Reception Center.
At 6:00 pm there will be a party to celebrate Todd's life at the Albuquerque Press Club, 201 Highland Park Cir SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
A Graveside Inurnment Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Forest Park Cemetery, Concrete, WA, with Hal Williams officiating. A gathering will follow the Graveside..
