Tom D. Baca

Age 89, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016. He was born in La Joya, NM on November 20, 1926, to Jacob R. Baca and Elisa Montoya.

Tom joined the Navy for 2 1/2 years serving in WWII. He then proceeded his career at the Albuquerque Fire Department retiring in 1982 after 25 years of hard work and dedication. Tom enjoyed hunting in the outdoors and carpentry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Elisa Baca; sister Elizabeth Warren.

Tom is survived by his wife, Cecilia Baca; children, Thomas J. Baca, Marcella Baca, Ron Baca, Laura Sanchez, Rita Baca; grandchildren, James Baca, Sergio (Melanie) Baca, Jacob (Bernadette) Sanchez, and Erlinda Sanchez; one great- grandchild, Sergio Baca Jr.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.  

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM, at Wyoming Chapel. Interment will follow service at Sandia Memory Gardens. Reception will follow interment at Wyoming Sun Room, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
